Dear Duluth Families,

Duluth High School is a place of opportunity, joy, and belonging, where students are loved, challenged, and encouraged to become the very best versions of themselves. I am honored to begin my third year as principal of this incredible school.

Every day, I am inspired by the care, dedication, and excellence of our teachers and staff, as well as the talent, curiosity, and kindness of our students. Together, they create a school culture that is truly special.

This summer, as I reflected on last year and listened to our graduates share their stories, I kept coming back to a simple truth: none of us gets through life's challenges alone. Again and again, students spoke about the people who helped them along the way—their families, friends, teachers, coaches, and mentors. Their words were a powerful reminder that strong relationships are at the heart of student success.

This year, I invite you to continue strengthening those connections. Attend events, join PTSA, support our teachers, encourage excellent attendance, and stay engaged in your child's educational journey. Every relationship we build—with our students, one another, our cluster schools, and our community—helps create the foundation our students need to thrive.

At Duluth, we often talk about being hummingbirds: choosing hope, looking for the good, and bringing others along. As we begin the 2026-2027 school year, I look forward to partnering with you as we do exactly that.
