The students of Duluth High School achieve measured improvement against local, national, and world class standards, to become lifelong learners, responsible citizens and resilient, productive leaders in society through a comprehensive and proactive school counseling program. Challenge All To Succeed is supported by counselors as advocates for equity, access and success of each student through identification of unique student needs, and provision of appropriate interventions and resources.

Duluth High School students are independent and critical thinkers. They are world-class citizens who are well rounded, culturally sensitive, productive individuals who thrive in a global society. Through their participation in research-based, data-driven interventions that stress college and career readiness, as well as active involvement in the community, our students will take advantage of every post-secondary opportunity available to them.

Confidentiality is a key component for working with students and parents. Every effort will be made to maintain that confidentiality. Confidentiality is the counselor’s commitment to respect the students’ privacy by not divulging anything shared in a counseling session except under certain limited conditions. These conditions generally include safety issues (to prevent serious and foreseeable harm to self and/or others), legal issues, and professional responsibilities.
